😬 The Back-Tweak That Showed Up Uninvited…

So here’s the deal.

A few days ago, while prepping for my next webinar and feelin’ that high-vibe groove, my lower back decided to throw a little tantrum. A tweak. A twinge.
One of those annoying little ā€œsurprisesā€ that shows up out of nowhere that makes you say:

ā€œSeriously? Now??ā€

I couldn’t sleep on my side. I had to change how I got out of bed. Even walking first thing in the morning took extra care and cushion (thank you, Glycerin 22s!). It wasn’t dramatic. It wasn’t dire.

But it was loud enough to get my attention.

And for someone like me — a Color Code YELLOW, who lives for freedom, flow, movement, and joy — this kind of physical limitation can feel like an existential crisis. šŸ˜…

šŸ’› The Real Struggle? Not the Back. The Story.

The hardest part wasn’t the discomfort.
It was the inner dialogue that came with it.

ā€œWhy is this taking so long to heal?ā€
ā€œI can’t stop my daily walking routine!ā€
ā€œMy tight neck fascia and now this - WTF?!ā€
ā€œNone of my topical creams seem to be healing it quickly.ā€
ā€œWhy NOW when I have to be sitting at the computer more?ā€

Sound familiar?

We all hit bumps in the road — physically, emotionally, energetically. But what makes or breaks us is how we respond, and the stories we tell ourselves about what it means.

I caught myself spiraling into what-if down mode — and then flipped the script.

šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø What Helped Me Recenter

I went into my own coaching toolkit.
I used one of my custom meditations (the same kind I make for my clients) to soothe my nervous system and calm my thoughts.
I told myself:

ā€œI am in the process of healing.ā€
ā€œThis is just temporary.ā€
ā€œI’m a lean, mean, healin’ machine!ā€

I NPA’d (a special meditation technique I use) some emotionally charged thoughts - some that were just sounds of frustration, some which were the energy that I was feeling that I wanted to release - and that did the trick to pivot to a peaceful, grounded energy and an attitude of ā€œI’ve got this!ā€

I shifted from trying to ā€œfigure it outā€ to just being with it.

Because that’s the thing with our bodies — they don’t run on panic, pressure, or perfection.

They heal in presence.

What to Do When Your Mojo Feels Off

Here are a few things I remind myself — and now you — when your body (or life) throws you a curveball:

✨ 1. Don’t assume this is forever.

Pain and setbacks love to trick you into future catastrophizing. Stay grounded in this moment. Ask: ā€œWhat do I need right now?ā€

✨ 2. Your frustration is valid… and also data.

If you’re a YELLOW (like me), a RED, or anyone who values freedom and forward momentum — physical limitations hit hard. It’s not just about the back pain. It’s about the loss of autonomy and the lightness of heart and ease in my daily vibration.
Knowing that helps you treat yourself with compassion.

✨ 3. Healing is not linear — and that’s okay.

There will be days when you feel amazing and days when it regresses. That doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. It means you’re human.

🌈 Your Body Is Talking. Are You Listening?

This back tweak showed up at a time when I was gearing up to deliver something amazing (hello, webinar prep!).

It forced me to slow down, check in, and treat my own healing like the sacred work it is.

I didn’t cancel anything.
I didn’t collapse into the drama.
I adjusted. I grounded. I stayed in it.

That’s the work.
That’s the mindset.
That’s the magic.
