đź’› Maria Mojo Mondays: When Your Body Gets Loud
What I tell myself when discomfort grabs my attention.
Hey, Mindset Maverick,
Let’s talk about something we don’t love talking about.
What do you do when the thing you don’t want
won’t stop demanding your attention?
When it isn’t subtle.
When it isn’t a whisper.
When it’s loud. Physical. Persistent.
When your body is speaking in a language you didn’t ask to hear.
You know the principles of the Law of Attraction:
• Focus on what you want
• Energy flows where attention goes
• How you feel now shapes what comes next
But what happens when discomfort is what’s waking you up?
This is how I have been coaching myself when my body talks to me.
(And even if your body is behaving right now, these steps apply to anything in your life that is grabbing your attention in a loud way.)
💡 First: Stop Fighting the Fact That It’s There
You don’t pivot by pretending something isn’t happening.
You pivot by changing your relationship to it.
When something physical grabs your attention, the goal is not to ignore it.
The goal is to remove the fear and story wrapped around it.
For example, there’s a difference between:
“Hmmm… my legs feel cranky right now.”
And:
“Oh no. What is this? Why is this happening? What if it gets worse?”
One is neutral observation.
The other is future-based amplification.
You don’t need to deny the sensation.
You need to stop dramatizing it.
⚡ Second: Separate Sensation From Meaning
Your body is giving you data.
Data is neutral.
Your interpretation is not.
When discomfort shows up, your brain wants to assign meaning immediately.
Is this permanent?
Is this decline?
Is this aging?
Is this something bigger?
That spiral is not about the sensation.
That spiral is about fear of loss of control.
So here’s your pivot:
What if this is just information?
Not a prophecy.
Not a problem.
Not a punishment.
Just information.
Information can be adjusted.
Information can be worked with.
Information does not require panic.
đź’› Third: Give Attention Without Obsession
This is the nuance most people miss.
You can tend to something without centering your identity around it.
For example…
You can stretch.
Hydrate.
Adjust.
Modify.
Apply a lotion, cream, or support that feels good to you.
And then return your attention to what is working.
Because here’s the truth:
That physical symptom may be grabbing your attention.
But your heart works.
Your lungs work.
Your mind works.
Your eyes work.
You get the idea.
Something is working in your life.
Focus on those things.
Do not let one loud signal drown out the orchestra.
Remember, what you focus on shapes how you feel.
And how you feel now influences what comes next.
🌊 Fourth: Come Back to What Is Stable
When the body feels unpredictable, the mind tries to control.
Instead, anchor.
Anchor in:
Breath.
Gratitude.
Movement that feels good.
Laughter.
Connection.
The ocean at sunset.
Music in your kitchen.
Interpretive dancing at slot machines.
Yes, I went there.
Because your life is not defined by a sensation.
It is defined by your capacity to return to center.
đź’¬ Real Talk
You don’t grow by avoiding discomfort.
You grow by responding to it without losing yourself.
There will be seasons where something physical asks for attention.
That does not mean something is wrong with your energy.
It does not mean you are manifesting incorrectly.
It does not mean you have lost your alignment.
It means you are human.
And humans navigate things.
đź’› Your Mojo Reframe
Instead of asking:
“How do I ignore this?”
Ask:
“How do I tend to this without letting it take over my vibration?”
That is mastery.
Not denial.
Not suppression.
Not hyperfocus.
Steady presence.

Discomfort does not get to run the narrative.
It can have a voice.
It does not get the microphone.
You are still strong.
You are still capable.
You are still aligned.
You are still creating.
Pivot gently.
Return to what is working.
Let the sensation be a whisper, not a headline.
And remember:
You have most likely navigated far bigger waves than this.
