💛 Maria Mojo Mondays: When Life Kinks Your Neck — Literally

A little resistance, a lot of magic, and the mindset that turns pain into progress.

đź’› Hey, Mindset Maverick!

This week, life gave me a literal pain in the neck.

Not metaphorically — I actually pulled a neck muscle doing some new, simple daily tasks (that I now know were not ergonomically correct … oops).

The next day? Tight, achey, painful and totally throwing off my groove.

At first, I resisted it. I didn’t want it.
It was “kinking” my daily routine (pun totally intended).

But resistance doesn’t heal. It holds.
And since I live what I coach, I knew I had to shift — fast.

Here’s what I did 👇

✨ Coaching Tip #1: Breathe into the Pain

I stopped fighting it and started breathing into it.

Instead of tensing up, I used my breath to relax the area — slow inhales, soft exhales, visualizing light and energy flowing through my neck.

It’s amazing what happens when you breathe instead of battle.
Your body listens. Your energy softens. Your healing accelerates.

đź’ˇ Coaching Tip #2: Rewrite the Story

I refused to make it mean something negative.

Instead of “Ugh, why now?” or “What’s wrong with my neck?”, I told myself:
“If this is happening to me, it must be good.”

I decided this new pain was my body releasing old tight fascia — the next step to complete healing.

That story feels empowering.
And when your story feels good, your body follows.

⚡ Coaching Tip #3: Release Resistance in Real Time

Every time I felt discomfort, I paused and said,
“All is well.”

Simple. Grounded. Present.

And every single time I did that… the tension faded.
Because resistance amplifies pain — acceptance eases it.

đź’¬ Real Talk:
Life gives us physical reminders sometimes of the energy we hold onto.

For me, this neck kink was a gentle nudge to slow down, trust, and soften — not push through.

The next time something aches, breaks, or goes sideways, don’t rush to judge it.

Breathe. Reframe. Release.
Let your body and mind work with you, not against you.
