You Don't Need Fixing, Just Reprogramming
Hey Mindset Maverick,
Ever looked at your life and thought, “Something’s wrong with me”?
Maybe you feel stuck. Maybe you keep repeating patterns you swore you’d break. Maybe you look around and wonder why everyone else seems to have it figured out while you’re just… here, feeling like you are not where you want to be in life.
Here’s a little secret - everyone does NOT have it all figured out.
I don’t have it all figured out.
We are all more similar than you think.
What you see on social media are the highlight reels of people’s lives - do you really know what is going on behind the scenes in their life - No.
Ok, back to that “something is wrong with me” story …
That voice creeps in:
“I’m broken.”
But let me hit you with the truth: You are NOT broken. You’ve never been broken.
What you’ve been is:
🔹 Conditioned to doubt yourself.
🔹 Taught to believe struggle = weakness.
🔹 Carrying old stories that no longer serve you.
But broken? Nah.
This week, we’re busting the “I’m broken” myth for good and getting you to a place of strength, self-trust, and clarity.
And let me say this … maybe you don’t think you are broken, but that belief that something is wrong with you or you are not enough or you don’t have what it takes … yeah, that is a myth too that we will bust right here, right now.
Step 1: Find the Source of the Lie
The “I’m broken” thought didn’t come from nowhere.
I always ask my clients when they affirm something negative about themselves:
“Who does that belong to?”
And there is an initial silence and then an ah-hah that their negative belief doesn’t belong to them.
So …
Ask yourself:
🔹 When did I start believing this?
🔹 Whose voice does it sound like? (A critical parent? An old teacher? Society?)
🔹 What’s the real story behind this feeling?
Awareness is power. And half the time, when you pull back the curtain, you’ll see that this belief was never yours to begin with.
Step 2: Rewrite the Narrative
Instead of saying:
❌ “I’m broken.”
Try this:
✅ “I’m healing from things I never should have had to go through.”
✅ “I’ve adapted, I’ve survived, and now I’m choosing to thrive.”
✅ “I am whole, even as I grow.”
✅ “I am an f’n badass - I’ve got this!”
See the shift? One keeps you trapped. The other reminds you of your power.
Step 3: PROVE to Yourself That You’re Whole
Your brain believes what you repeatedly show it. So let’s give it proof:
🔹 Write down three things you’ve overcome. Things that, at the time, felt impossible.
🔹 Celebrate one win from the past week - no matter how small.
🔹 Act as if you believe you are whole. (Because guess what? You already are.)
I always teach my clients to find the “proof positive” - that’s what I call it. LOL
Look for what you thrived through.
For me, I thrived through a DX of MS, by telling myself back then “it’s just going to be a bump in the road” and “one day I will be drug free”! And now, I have been drug free for almost 20 years - yeah, that badass proof is just what I need to remind myself of when I am feeling off or frustrated because I am not manifesting what I desire!
Small proof stacks up. And before you know it, the “I’m broken” or “what’s wrong with me” thoughts lose their power.
Final Mojo Boost
You are not broken. You are becoming.
You are not weak. You are wise from experience.
You are not behind. You are exactly where you need to be to take your next step forward.
This week, I challenge you to drop the “I’m broken” lie and own your wholeness.
Hit reply and tell me - what’s ONE way you’re proving to yourself that you’re whole this week?
