💛 Maria Mojo Mondays: Break That Negative Habitual Cycle — For Good

Stop letting your default thoughts run the show. It’s time to reclaim your vibe and train your brain for JOY.

Hey, Mindset Maverick!

You already know this mindset stuff works.
You’ve read the quotes, listened to the podcasts, maybe even journaled a few times.
You probably even feel pretty darn good after reading my newsletter. ;-)

But here’s the kicker…
Then you go back to your usual daily routine — at work and at home.
Whoosh - right back into that habitual cycle of negativity and frustration.

You “get” these mindset coaching tips intellectually — and then life happens.
You slip right back into your old default thinking — the anxious, reactive, rinse-and-repeat mental loop that feels impossible to break.

Perfect example: you might read this newsletter on your lunch break. You like it. You feel positive, uplifted — like “yeah, I can do this.” 🙂 

Then you go back to work and your boss pisses you off, or that looming deadline hits, or you feel the toxic negativity swirling around the office.
And boom — you’re back in the cycle that doesn’t feel good.

I get it. It’s human.
But if you want to actually feel joy more often than frustration, you’ve got to be deliberate AF about what you choose to feel — every single day.

Because here’s the truth:
Staying in a low-vibe place takes effort too — it’s just a heavier kind.

So if both paths take work (your inner work or your default pattern), why not choose the one that feels better and sets you up for more JOY?

Good question, huh?

✨ Coaching Tip #1: Start Small, Stay Consistent

One pivot a day is enough.

When you catch yourself in the act of stinkin’ thinkin’, pause and remind yourself — “This thought isn’t helping me create what I want.”
Then choose a better one.

For example:
If you catch yourself thinking, “I hate my job,” pivot it to something that brings relief — like, “This job can be just temporary, and I’m learning what I truly want next.”

That one little shift changes your energy. It reminds you that you DO have a choice.

💡 Coaching Tip #2: Ground Your Energy Daily

I meditate every morning to stay grounded in the moment and bring peace into my vibrational energy — especially now as I navigate the whole health-care-insurance circus.

It’s easy to spiral into frustration when the system feels broken, but I remind myself:

“I can’t control the system, but I can control how I feel in this moment.”

That’s where my power lies — and it’s where yours does too.

I also anchor in this belief:

“Everything is unfolding for my highest good. All will be well.”

Faith without knowing the how — that’s true power.

⚡ Coaching Tip #3: Claim Your Vibe Like It’s a Done Deal

I journal what I’m claiming as if it already exists.
I don’t get stuck in the how.

I focus on the feeling of peace, abundance, and ease — because the more I anchor in that vibe, the faster reality starts to shift.

Consistency is key.

So, how much do you want to break the cycle of habitual negative patterns?
(And I can hear you saying, “Yeah, that would be great… BUT—”)

First off, you’ve got to get rid of the BUT.
Whatever follows is just an excuse.
And I’m calling BS on that belief.

💬 Real Talk

Breaking the cycle doesn’t take forever.
It just takes awareness, choice, and follow-through.

Decide right now:

“I’m in the process of breaking this habitual cycle and replacing it with peace, power, and purpose.”

“I’m making how good I feel my #1 priority each and every day.
One baby step at a time.”

Then take one aligned action today — right after reading this.
It doesn’t take a lot of time. One minute, tops.
(Don’t tell me you don’t have one minute — you know what I’ll say to that!)

🌈 What an Aligned Action Step Looks Like

  • Write down one thing that is working in your life.

  • Take a few deep breaths — breathe in love and positive energy, release what doesn’t serve you.

  • Let your frustration out with a few curse words (yes, it’s scientifically proven to release stress!).

  • Close your eyes for a few seconds and imagine a better scenario.
    Build that positive imagination muscle.

    That’s how you start rewiring your brain — one thought & belief at a time.

    You get the idea.

Your brain will keep replaying the old story until you write a new one.
And if you don’t rewrite it and do the inner work consistently, that default pattern will run the show.

So start editing your thoughts (and disempowering beliefs) like your life depends on it — because your happiness, your health, and your peace do.
