Maria Mojo Mondays: Awareness - The First Step to Change!
You’re here because you’re ready for something more - more energy, more clarity, more freedom from the mental loops that keep you stuck.
But before we talk about rewriting the script in your head, we need to talk about something even bigger: Awareness.
Because if you don’t realize a thought is holding you back … how can you change it?
Step 1: Catch the Invisible Thoughts
Most of us run on autopilot. We don’t question the thoughts that shape our actions.
But here’s the truth:
Your brain is constantly feeding you a story.
Some of those stories empower you.
Others? They keep you stuck, tired, or doubting yourself.
Your challenge this week: Start paying attention.
1) Notice when your energy drops. What were you just thinking?
2) Catch the "I can't" and "I'm not" statements. (Ex: I’m not good at this. I can’t figure this out.)
3) Write down 3 thoughts a day that feel heavy, frustrating, or limiting.
4) Use your smart phone to set an alarm at a specific time of day and when it goes off, check in with how you are feeling in that moment. Notice your mood, your thoughts, your energy level.
That’s it. No judgment, no fixing - just noticing.
Step 2: What’s the Pattern?
By the end of the week, look back at your notes.
=> What’s the theme?
=> Are your thoughts mostly about work, relationships, self-doubt?
=> Would you talk to a friend the way you talk to yourself?
This is the work.
Awareness is the first step to rewriting the story.
